    Correct Cleaning Rod Needed

I have a Gustloff Werke KKW .22 rifle. It doesn"t have the cleaning rod. I tried a 98K rod, but it doesn"t fit. This rifle has the Nazi Party marking on it. Can someone help me locate a cleaning rod?

When you say the K98icon cleaning rod doesn't fit do you mean that it will not slip into the bayonet bar at all or do you mean that it will slip into the bayonet bar but won't screw up?

The hole the cleaning rod enters is too small for the standard 98K rods that I have on six different 98K rifles I have, from 1939, 41 and one 1944 model.

I suspect the simplest solution will be to make a cleaning rod or have one made. A difficulty will, however, be in discovering what screw thread was used on the end of the rod, presumably a metric thread?
