A while ago I posed a question about a certain W S F E Buchan Seaforth Highlanders 1898 - 1894* then WWI in the AIF as I had lucked out and the one source I did get onto fizzled out with not much info.

After a short while a member contacted me with a wealth of information on this person and could not send it electronically as the quality was to poor.
So they printed it out and express mailed it to me and it sits here only graze read it on this remarkable man who resided in Western Australia (He came from the Mother country)
It was a promise made by my brother in law to my brother who must have known his gig was shortly to be up on this planet .
And that was not to give this stuff to me until I grew up & hopefully one day get it figured well I have fulfilled that with the help of Milsurps generous people who reside here.

My brother was Barry Charles Le May a Flt Sgt Engine Fitter in the RAAF whom had 20 years service and was due to get out into civie life but passed just 1 week shy of it. (he was only 43)
How much was my brother respected by the personnel at the RAAF Pearce well as we were placing him in the ground a flight of Maccis went over in the missing man formation now that meant a great deal to me my brother in law ex RAAF & Ex Army Viet Vet knew the score as well.
In fact it was one of the Maccis last flight as it to was being retired and was one Barry worked on at Pearce when he first came back from schooling.
I think the longest Barry was at a base was Amberly he did 8 years there sorta knew how to tweek the system guess a Flt Sgt knows things

Now the last piece of the puzzle is to sit down with my brother in law and the bottle of Blue Johhny Walker I have been saving for this day to read the material.

Here here, couldn't agree more, the sheer depth of knowledge is staggering, plus the friendships forged by like minded people here make milsurps a superb place to be a part of.
