It is very reasonable, am surprised its not been sold already.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Its strange, like most at my age or older, we were always told to save up etc for something and the only thing you ever borrowed money for was a house...... must admit my teenage years as an Apprentice and not having a pot to **** in, the advice served me well, even after going away to Sea I had a decent wage but held on to my cash unless I was in a pub ( quite frequent in my early years at sea) but was always cautious with Money and still am but only in the last 10 years or so I've made the best of Credit card deals were the interest is free for a period for so many months or years, as long as the minimum payment are made.

Even loans with banks etc are still very good, although that bubble will burst at some point but still cheap deals out there........ interest will go up for sure but the demand for an L42 I think will be a lot higher than interest over 3 to 5 years............

That equates to $16,000 + ?Au here I guess we would be charged VAT then postage which may work into a few grand as it is a weapon coupled with our import duties then re-licensing I would hazard a guess it would cost close to $20K/Au for myself to procure it would love to have it my safe but do not think my wife would like the rifle that much....................
