Sierra 180 gr and Norma #202 data?

    Morning all,

Years ago, I had a very good load for the .303 that used the Sierra 180 gr. PSP and Norma # 202 powder.
Lost my data for it! Tried looking it up, but can't find it anywhere.
Does the Sierra manual list Norma #202 powder?

Why I ask, is I just found a couple of cans I'd forgotten about, and would like to try it again.

    Thanks for any help!

    Richard.

Just checked my sierra (edition 5) manual. No Norma powders were listed.

I have a new Norma manual, but it only lists load data for 150, 174, and 215 grain bullets. I can post that page if you like.

    Good morning SMLE,

    Thanks for the reply.
I did see the data for Horndy bullets and Norma powder. Maybe I used this as a reference. Been along time!

If you could post what you have, it may be very helpful though.

    Thank you!

    Richard.

Thank you SMLE, I have saved that!

Thanks for the PDF link as well Jim, I think I can start lower and use these figures.

If only I could remember what I did with my old data. It hung on the wall above the press, and I suppose I "tidied up" at some point! :-)

With all those powders gone for ages, I don't doubt you cleaned up a bit and it went out.

Quite right Jim, but then a couple of cans of Norma #204 turned up (Excelent for the 6.5 x55!!) Plus 2 1/2 cans of #202, and I really liked that in the .303. I thought I'd used all that powder years ago.
    Dunno where it came from...

Have loaded up a few to try in the old MLE Mk 1 with a worn -out barrel. Will keep you posted. (said gun has a tight chamber still, so that's nice!)

I've had older powders given to me and too, been forced to consume them...
    Regards, Jim
