    Recoil Plate Area Chipped

I had this collector grade .U. stock come into the shop with a chip we all have seen before. It is fixed and ready to look good with it's rifle!

    Best Regards.....Frank

Nice job. I've fixed several like that myself.

    Frank,

My K31icon has a small 1/4" v chip at the very end of the beech stock by the stacking lug. I had glued in the piece but it did not hold. What is your favorite glue for these projects?

My guess is that he cut the chipped area square then glued in a block and clamped it using Gorilla Glue. Afterward it is shaped using a fine wood rasp then final sanded and oiled/stained to match. That is how I do mine.
