Matter of fact, there's a dump out off Red Route in Camp Wainwright AB. It's well inside the camp confines though and the dumpings are either torched or destroyed before burial. We used to go there when I was posted there in the '80s and retrieve "Things" as required. I ended up with several barracks boxes at one point because they were out there. We used to get all manner of salvaged lumber for range work there too. Occasionally you MIGHT find better stuff, but not likely...I could go on about other camps...
    Regards, Jim

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. The brass oiler with the Canadianicon acceptance mark on the bottom; does any-one know what the D.A. stands for? Is it a manufacturer or unit marking?

Dominion Arsenals. That was the main manufacturer of ammo and related for decades.
