British army dump - HUGE haul of WW2 relics - PIC HEAVY !

nowadays there are rules and regulations that prevent "military rubbish" or any other rubbish being dumped in a hole in the ground at a military base

Matter of fact, there's a dump out off Red Route in Camp Wainwright AB. It's well inside the camp confines though and the dumpings are either torched or destroyed before burial. We used to go there when I was posted there in the '80s and retrieve "Things" as required. I ended up with several barracks boxes at one point because they were out there. We used to get all manner of salvaged lumber for range work there too. Occasionally you MIGHT find better stuff, but not likely...I could go on about other camps...

The brass oiler with the Canadian acceptance mark on the bottom; does any-one know what the D.A. stands for? Is it a manufacturer or unit marking?

Dominion Arsenals. That was the main manufacturer of ammo and related for decades.
