    L12A1 .22 Kit for the L1A1 rifle

I was not sure where to post this item, either here or on the FN / FAL forum but hopefully all those who my be interested will find it.
I finally managed to aquired the missing barrel assembly to complete the items that I already had, with the exception of one of the magazines (thanks Geoff) the other items are all unused.
I do not have the original box so I had to make this one using photos and the actual items as a guide, with the exception of the locking catches it is a reasonable copy and will certainly do until (if ever) the real thing turns up.
The H&K marks on the breech assembly show up very well but less so on the barrel. The magazines have had there original numbers "barred out" but only one has had its new number 1005-12-147-6963 restamped.
I have also included a picture of the spare firing pin that came with the breech assembly.

Nice looking kit, those are a great thing when you have the rifle set to "A"...lots of fun... You need to boys with buckets to keep ammo to it though.

Because H&K didn't have access to UKicon MIlitary lug type magazines, they supplied them to H&K with the orders for the kits as what was described as 'embodiment loan'. H&K modified them to suit the kits. That's why you see the old UK 1005-99-960-0017 number barred through

Well done Buccaneer, we few are a small band of bloody minded determined enthusiast's who have gone to some very considerable effort (and expense) to put these kits together!

I love shooting mine, hope you get just as much pleasure from yours.

I acquired a spare magazine from Mike yesterday and just need the box to complete my made up kit now.

No need to be determined and bluddy minded Clarkie, the complete kits are still available in the US aren't they? Or am I missing something?

Evening Peter, not sure on the availability of the US assembled kits now. All comms have gone very quiet on that front for some time now unfortunately.

Brian very kindly offered his assistance with the export of more kits, (small potential UKicon market for Fal/L1A1 owners), but it's all largely academic now.

Hopefully there might be an other option, we will have to see how things pan out..

    Cheers John

Unfortunatly full auto is illegal here in the UKicon so we have to be happy with semi, at least it makes the ammo last longer........

Just got a reply. Kits are available from the US. Mostly original parts but new made mags and softee bag instead of box.
