French Trench art, Chemin des Dames.

I recently picked up a nice piece of Trench Art from an elderly gentleman at a village sale near Chartres. It is a Frenchicon 75mm field gun case; Manufactured in 1916 at the Dives factory.
I believe this is an original piece, because it does not have dates on it. Just the name of a girl "Lucie" with a heart either side; above that a beautifully engraved tulip; then the name Craonne at the top. Craonne was a village on the Chemins des Dames, it was destroyed completely in 1917.Attachment 75640Attachment 75639Attachment 75638
