    L4 series Bren?

Would this Bren be a Britishicon conversion to 7.62mm L4 series or is it another conversion such as South African because of the unmodified butt plate?

Oddly it has a hold open ejector block and inch pattern mags and L4 type barrel...

The combination of features makes me wonder if it isn't a "home built", or is it a dewat assembled of parts that would never have functioned together properly in "real life"

It actually looks like a SA barrel (the L4 is contoured, not straight) with a L4 flash eliminator. I have a semi auto conversion with the same barrel but with a FAL flash eliminator.

Additionally to the other threads, it is a Mk2 gun and our Mk2 gun conversions (L4A3's and 5's) came with the round magazine feed lip strengthening plates rivetted to the outside. The magazine would be about 5/8" or so further forwards too in order to overcome the dreaded 'twilight zone' during feeding. And the barrel is far too long too........ In short, it's a fake
