Busy with finds from the skip....

For a few forum members who have been waiting for bits etc, then below is something that got in the way....

I was told by the Boss I want this and that for our Daughters Birthday party....... these aren't on the shelves and had to make from scratch using pics from the net, even than it wasn't that easy getting the measurements right to the scale I wanted but all come good in the end, so if anyone has daughters they may have seen the Disney film " Tangled" if not google Tangled/ Rapunzel's window and the Snuggly Duckling which was the pub in the film.

All the wood was scrap some I'd had for some time some gathered from skips and some ex school shelves..... only thing bought was the wood dye, some screws (some I had on hand) and the hooks for the sign. The chain was from an old chain block which is now 10" short on the hoist chain....

Why didn't you just paint your Phone box Blue, tell yourself it was a police box(Tardis) and zap out to get the original one?

That would be stealing........ funny you mention the phone box. I plucked out of a skip a hardwood front door to use to repair a few sections of the Phone box door, only wanted the hardwood, looked around but the prices were daft, used some of it for the arches in the window above.
