    Aircraft push rods

    Hi all,

I acquired about a dozen what I believe to be aircraft engine push rods. They appear to be made of stainless ,a round ball with hole at each end.

The rods are 1/2" in diameter and 15 1/8"long.

What looks to be Japaneseicon writing on them and there is also a K in a circle on the ends.

Is there any interest in this kind of stuff or a junk pile item?

I would expect someone to be interested in them and posting a few pictures may help to gauge interest. I have seen "works of art" produced from old aircraft parts/bits and pieces; not exactly my idea of art but each to their own.

Together with a steel rule alongside for size comparison. I BET you that someone on this site will recognise them!

You mentioned Japaneseicon writing is visible on them, in post 1, are you able to post a picture, please? I can't read, or speak for that matter, Japanese but others who use this Forum maybe able to.

Not sure why an engine push rod would be made of stainless steel! Which makes me think it may have another use.
I understand from the appearance that it looks like a push rod, but most push rod engines are older designs and stainless has no advantage over cheaper steel's in this application.
Is the rod hollow tube or solid?
It will be interesting to find out what it is!
