Regarding your post 7 Vincent, yes there should be enough information, looking at the drawing, in Peter's book on page 142 to do exactly the same conversion today. All that is needed is an original "donor" skeleton stock to provide the raw material. Provided that the drawing is read properly the resulting pistol grip should be exactly the same to the examples which Canadaicon converted over 60 years ago. The only difference would be the date of conversion. This pistol grip should be much more comfortable than it's Britishicon cousin because of the curved shape of the metal used as apposed to the flat stock used in the British version.

I think the donor might need to be Canadian stock to work with the information in Peter’s Sten book. You could probably make adjustments to use an LB stock as the donor.

I do mean to have a look at my long Branch Sten to see which version of skeleton stock that has, although not planning to alter that particular one.

Hey chaps......., lets get on the same planet with regards to comfort, style etc with a Sten gun. If you are going to use one with a pistol grip, accuracy, style and comfort REALLY isn't going to enter the equation. You're gonna mean business, - big time

The law here gives us three choices for semi-autos, fill out the Form and pay $200 to SBR it, put a 16” barrel on it ($100) or make it a pistol. So the pistol grips are quite popular.

There are all kinds of butt stocks available too.

Mind boggling! Apparently, if you mention the word Sten on the UKicon Ebay, it's immediately withdrawn.

A while ago, I thought that a U.K. eBay seller came up with a very creative solution to list a F/S Commando knife- it was listed as a F/S letter opener.

I ordered a Canadianicon Long Branch loop butt to make the PG. When I opened the box I was disappointed to see they had sent me an Lines Brothers loop butt…. then I noticed it has the holes for the sling hook and

By coincidence I had a look at my Long Branch Sten last night and it appears to have a U.K. made skeleton butt. There could also be a Faz. inspector's marking on it?
