strange marks on barrel

I looked at a SA 1903 today it had strange marks on the barrel I am guessing from a vise. has anyone seen marks like this before on a 1903 barrel also could someone check the serial 989432 against the SRS thanks

Yes someone was using an unprotected vise to hold the barrel.
