Note the very early front sight with straight ears found on early production rifles

    Wonder what happened to Roy?

Is he Roy E. Bruch that was awarded the silver star,in 1944 as a Sergeant, and then as a Staff Sergeant was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Silver Star for gallantry in action in 1945?

Always interesting to see what happened to these men.

He went all the way through the war it seems. Not that many can claim that.
