    American Mosin

1917 U.S. manufactured Mosin manufactured by Remington

This floored me and I thought it was really cool and thought I would share. I haven't cleaned it up yet, or even had time to take decent pics but found it interesting. it is probably old news to a lot of you collectors but this is the first time I had seen one and it is the first Mosin I have ever owned. it is all matching numbers and hopefully will clean up well.

All you need now is one of the Westinghouse ones and a Winchester-contract '95 Musket.

They're dang fine rifles. I bought my wife a Finn capture New Englandicon Westinghouse M91 for our anniversary last year. 100 ish years old & the best shooting Mosin of the five Mosins we have.

That's a fine one you've got there. What part of the state you in? I'm by Springfield.

Thank you. I live in Ofallon, Mo, about 35 miles west of St. Louis down HWY 70. This will be my first experience with a Mosin, I have a lot with 1903's, K98icon's, etc but never found a Mosin I wanted. When I first bought this I looked down the barrel and it was dark and blotchy, a little scrubbing with bore paste and some patches revealed a perfect barrel, shiny, no pitting and beautiful rifling. I am looking forward to shooting this oneonce I find some ammo

    Ammo

The Dealers Warehouse has a small lot of 1917/18 US made 7.62 ammo. Not common anymore.
