    mosin nagant

    hey guys i just got a tikka mosin nagant at my local store paid 150$ sadly its been abused and bubba'd but it has a french magazine plate (i said french cant pronounce the french name) and it has a 1931 tula receiver but it has no barrel shank stamp for bore size. im scared to shoot it.dont want it blowing up in my face.any help is apreciated. i will get some pics up tomorrow hopefully

    Are you referring to the A, B, or C stamped on early ('25-'27) Tikka M91's? Tikka made barrels for other models where this wouldn't apply.

    sorry for late reply. yea thats what i was referring to. i did not know it was only on early ones. mine is a tikka m91 made in 1942. reason i think its a m91 is its got a longer barrel and front sight is a blade .preatty sure its got a a dragoon sight. its the konolov? sight.

    oh and the barrel bands screw was messed up.the guy before me must have broke it on one side and then put a normal type screw through it had to drill it out now im lost as what it im supposed to use .it looks like this one Finnish M91 scroll down till you see the barrel bands its the bottom left "early rare" one. also when it was on the gun before i took it of it was not tight all the way. there was a little tiny screw in the wood holding it there. sorry i have pics of other guns that have it but no pics of mine and i dont know how to post pics on here lol. sorry for the new question.
