Have a 1917 model 1891 carcano rifle
has the ''E'' and the 3 heavy dots (Punches) on receiver.(Greek Modified)
gain twist....shoots 6.5x52 and 6.5x54 MS. Some were rechambered (Actually just lengthened a wee bit over 1mm.) in Germanyicon. these are USUALLY marked on stock to indicate the use of ITALIAN (X52 ) or GERMAN (x54ms ) CARTRIDGES.
There are NOT the EATON'S DEPARTMENT STORE sporsterized models.with the re attached barrels.

my ''as new'' model41/fat1947 has a very tight chamber and ONLY takes the x52 carcano round . I have factory C.I.L. (canadain industries ltd) 6.5x54MS and some boxed NORMA 125gr. x54M.S.
How many other folks here shoot the GREEK or German converted CARCANOS ???
