I'll do that. My Kabar collection is quite small however. I only have two originals. I'm more into bayonets than knives.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... The clean one is obviously the current production Ontario, the one on the right in all but the last photo is a Kabar, the one on the left is a Camillus. They are switched in the photo showing the top of the knob. Finish appears to be black phosphate rather than paint.

Why, you have a thick pommel, peened...! The new center one looks serviceable. After three months of field time it would look like the rest I think. Looks good. Here's mine, much like yours...

Nice, yours looks almost unissued. Love the color of the handle.

In 1978 I was with Recon Pl of my Battalion...and found myself on the USS Alamo(another story). In the next compartment were the SEALs. A close friend of mine went in there and came back with one of these for nothing, so I dove in and asked "Who done it?" When the young SEAL came forward I all but demanded one, he asked what I'd trade? I said since the last guy got one for nothing I wanted one too... Well one of them asked another guy if he had one and he'd replace it later. So it went. It turned out they bought them from QM at a rate of $1 USD ea, and the box contained a baker's dozen. When the knife was rusted up or unusable, they simply threw them overboard... This one has seem no use while I owned it. It was the third one I've had. WW2 marked knife from what I glean and Victory Plastics scabbard...nice...not worth a lot around these parts so I guess I'll just keep it.
    Regards, Jim
