    Winchester 1897 action slide

I'm looking to restore an old Winchester 1897 solid frame.
I'm a bit confused, a lot of part sellers talk about slides for solid frame or take down frames... others dont mention it...
    Same thing with magazine tubes.

My question is what's the difference between a take down action slide for both models ?
Same question for the magazine tubes... what difference should i look for ?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure on the slides, but take down model mag tubes have an extra hole on the muzzle end for the take down lever. Mag tubes for solid frame guns (WW1) did not have it. See the thread in the below link....

Thanks that helps. I kinda thought the take down had 3 holes but i wasn't sure.
My solid frame tube only has 2 holes but some genius used a pipe wrench to remove it... leaving deep scars in it and splitting the weld seam.
