    K11 sight fixes?

As a newbie to Swissicon rifles, I really appreciate the information on this board. Now I understand the marking system a bit. Problem is where does one buy taller sights? I haven't found them in stock anywhere. I'm currently impacting about 20" high.

As far as drifting the front sight, there are a couple of DIY fixes that look like they could work. But being an apartment deweller devoid of a workshop, the necessary tools, and the patience? That's not gonna happen. I tried another technique using a Nut Splitter that I learned about during my search. Attachment 78540, Attachment 78539
I bought this at Auto Zone for $11.99 plus tax. The The tape (to prevent marring), I had, in addition to the screwsAttachment 78543.

The tool I bought had a ram that was too wide for thr dove tail of the base, except for the point. The ram is hardened steel so grinding it flat and reducing the diameter with a dremel? gonna hapen so after letting the sight soak in Mystery Oil for about 2 hrs., I inserted the tip of the ram in the screw slots (like a screwdriver blade) and held it level as I moved the ram. Took a little doing but once under load it gets easier. Moving the sight post took second and did not marr the sight.Attachment 78542
Hopefully this will help someone. From what Ive read, this would also apply to the K31 (other optics choices)

The taller front sight blades for the K31 would fit, BUT still not tall enough for a center aim shot at 100yds with the minimum 300m K11 rear sight setting.
I presume that is the distance you wish to use?

I suggest putting up an aiming mark 20 inches below your current aimpoint on the target board.
300m aiming is 6 o'clock hold on bottom of the black on Swissicon targets.

Diameter of 300m Swiss target rings and equivalent at shorter distances.
