    Scant stock marking??

I have an 03A3 scant stock with "45" stamped under the butt plate and no other marking. Is it a manufacturing date?

Is it a similar style of stock to this on my U.K. deactivated 1903A3 which is a scant stock, I believe? I wasn't aware that they were normally dated.

I doubt it is a date - more likely just an obscure sub-inspection stamp.
