    German re-worked M91/30 - "blued bolt" Finnish M91/30

The subject came up in another thread so I thought I'd post some pictures of a 1941 Izhevsk M91/30 that was likely captured and re-worked by the Nazis and later sold to The Finnishicon Army. These rifles have some unique characteristics that are attributed to the Germanicon depots: blued bolts, re-numbered buttplates, bolts, and magazine floor plates in a font and style that is not consistent with typical Finnish re-worked rifles. The rear sight leaf is also unique in the it's blued, but then the top is polished to be "in the white."

This one must have been around the block so to speak, JJ.

Looks in good order. I wish there was more information on the when and where's of these rifles! Many sent from Germanyicon to Finland were only good for parts it seems, yet some were obviously set up in Germany as this one appears.
    Have you tried it yet?
Most of these Finnishicon-owned 91/30's shoot remarkably well!

No, I've never fired this one and have no urge to, really. I have plenty of other rifles to shoot. The only M91/30's I shoot much anymore are my PU Snipers. I agree that the Finnishicon re-worked rifles often shoot very well, especially the ones with Finnish barrels.
