Finally: The AK Original Factory Blueprints

    Hello!

I want to share an exceptional item I have found.

After many years of searching, I have finally found FULL SIZE, COMPLETE blueprints/specification sheets for the famous Kalashnikov rifles. As you might expect of blueprints, every single part has been documented, straight from the Izhevsk arsenal.

I have manipulated the images for maximum readability and clarity (the originals were scanned off torn and browned paper).

I have compiled all that I could find, and the large 2.5 GB file includes the following:

-AK (Type 3), AKS, and AKM rifles

    -AK and AKM bayonets

    -AK and AKM cleaning kits/pods/capsules

-AK and AKM magazines (steel and bakelite)

    All in PDF format.

Download link here. Please enjoy, and share!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... More of a "General Layout" drawing than a "blueprint", but NICE find, all the same.

I have one a lot like it, but of the Mk 1 Owen SMG. Nice to look at, but you would be hard-pressed to derive any valid dimensions from it.

Keep an eye out for the "full-colour" instructional posters for the AK variants; the Russians put out some very nice "den decorations" over the years. See also the Swedishicon ones for the 84mm Carl Gustav AT gun and, the classic, full-coloured Finnishicon lithographed posters for their early Luger pistols; VERY hard to find and often starting to crumble if not correctly stored.

  6. Thank You to Bruce_in_Oz For This Useful Post:

Well, the download link expired now. Here is the new DropBox link: Dropbox - Full Factory AK Blueprints
The general layout of the AKM shown is just one page out of the 500 or so in the file. These are true blueprints with part dimensions, material specifications and assembly annotations for the three main variants of the AKs, and more!
