Yeah makes total sense. I have seen some that had the bayonet and holder with a serial that matched the rifle. Now wether it came like that or was done by someone who knows.

I realize it's not a 'full set' in be correct sense. But still nice to have all the standard issue items forsure.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. It's correct. Still, having all items might well be a nice thing.
I personally only own a few bayonets and even less rifles with slings.
Still, when I look at my SMLE with its bayonet (not matching) on, I kind of feel good;-D
Same with the K98icon and the Mosin 91/30.
All the others are pure and naked, and I don't miss the "optionals" a bit.

    You did very well.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
