    No4 Mk1 dignity restored

I came across this 1949 Fazakerley No4 Mk1 in a sad state all cut up and the stock in bad condition. Paid the $75 asking price and decided to restore some of its historical dignity back. Sourced a few spare parts and got to work. The pictures tell the story.

    Nice.

Very nice. It is a crying shame all the rifle being destroyed over there at the moment. Pity they can't be sold overseas.

Are you able to explain the reasons for the rifle being cut-up in the manner in which it was, please? The way that it was cut-up is more of a parts kit than a deactivated rifle.
