    On the other hand my grandfather was on a hospital ship boarded by the ijn. They searched the ship for weapons and when they found none the officer in charge of the boarding party walked into his ward room, came to attention and saluted the ward as they had been "honourably wounded".

    He put it down to the ijn being modeled on and having trained with the rn. where the army did the same with the prussian? army.

    It is all there in this book The Knights of Bushido By Lord Russell of Liverpool get the book read it then you will get an insight into what they really did I only read the book once cover to cover and that was enough for me I felt sick to the stomach and here's me who worked on a beef slaughter floor & boning room.
