Which adjustable gas tube nut is best?

In the event that I would like to shoot a bit hotter (or milder) loads than normal in my Garandicon, I would appreciate your opinions on which adjustable gas tube nut is best. I've found the following 2 from Brownell's:

    1) MC CANN INDUSTRIES GARAND ADJUSTABLE GAS SYSTEM
(This one uses 5 different replaceable gas jet screws to do the job)

    2)SCHUSTER GARAND ADJUSTABLE GAS SYSTEM
(This one has a built in adjustable gas jet screw eliminating the need for multiple gas jet screws)

    Thanks for your help.

I've used a McCann for decades and have never had cause to look at anything else. That's not a knock on the Schuster....it might be fine....I've just never had a need to find out!

As for how you set it.....well, when all else fails....read the instructions! The procedures for safely setting a McCann are clearly articulated in the directions that come with it....it's also nothing much more than common sense! With your load, you start with the largest orifice in the set, and reduce the size until the rifle JUST cycles. "So simple a Caveman can do it!"

I have a Schuster on my .308 Garandicon. It took about 20 rounds to tune it in. I started with the adjustment screw just into the threads and turned it a half turn at a time until it went from a single shot to a semi-auto. Once I got it to feed reliably I closed it down another half turn to ensure it would work if I got it gunked up. The Schuster will give you more/finer adjustment ability than the Mc Cann but either should work fine. One of the nice side effects of the Schuster was the decrease in group size when I got it tuned in. Groups went from 4-5 inches to 3-4 inches.
