Recommendations for replacement for Mauser 93 stock Spanish American War

I have a 93 Spanish Mauser rifle (1896 Mauser built) that has a cut down stock and no handguard but is otherwise correct (not perfect, the crest was ground off when refurbished in Spain but the barrel is ok) but the Obendorf 1896 marking remains. For living history purposes I want to make it look reasonably like the 93's used in 1898 in the Span Am War as this rifle might have actually been there. I think I am left with the choice of a Chileanicon 95 stock or Swedishicon 96 stock. I think the 93 action will fit both, but which one would be more authentic looking preferably with 93 hard wear? I can get a 93 handguard, would it be compatible with either stock? I think these stocks would be preferable than trying to splice someone onto what is left of the original stock.
