Where did those guns come from?

I was listening to Hernando Revolver on Fox this AM and he started in about American guns being sold to Mexicans. I was looking at pictures of these weapons and it hit me, they came from Columbia, Peruicon, and other parts of South America. They were sold to the Mexican drug lords along with the cocaine. Where did the guns come from originally? Remember, these are grenade launchers, M-16s and I even saw an M-60. They came from the corrupt militaries of those countries, Uncle Sugar gave them the guns.

But the liberals want everyone to believe that fully automatic M-16s were bought at a pawn shop in El Paso.

If a liberal came in my yard, my border collie would herd them, she thinks they are sheep.

Can I borrow your birder collie? I would like her to herd the liberals in my city into Lake Michigan. It would be a full time job.

About twentyfive years ago the neighbor that lived next door to me was in the crop dusting business. He piloted both panes and helicoptors for contractors that operated in Mexico and well down into Central America.
For a number of reasons the company he worked for had to grease the palms of local and regional law enforcement/military officials. A result of this was that he became familiar with some of them as they served as "security" for the contractor's personell and equipment.
One day he struck up a conversation about the .30 carbines that some of his assigned "security" people were carrying. That evening the conversation continued in the local cantina, before he knew it he'd landed an invitation to tour the local "federal" armory.
Everything in the armory reeked of U.S. WWII, and in some cases earlier, equipment. It looked like a staging area for the D-Day invasion. Dust covered racks full of weapons and piled high cases , 50 cal down to pistols. Crew served stuff and vehicles. He was allowed to handle anything he had an interest in. Nothing was off limits.
At the cantina a few evenings later he was approached by a local "national guard" official, whom he'd been aquainted with for some time, that inquired if my neighbor was interested in any weapons or knew of anyone that was. The official threw some asking prices (dirt cheap) at him and explained that it was cash sales only (U.S. funds), that the buyers would have 72 hours to remove their purchases from the county; local "officals" would ensure that there'd be no problems in getting the weapons out of the county and that "legal" paperwork for the transactions would be provided.
Of course my neighbor then realized that he'd gotten himself into a situation that he didn't want or intend to be in. Fortunately he remained calm and told the official that he'd consider the offer. The next day he quickly arranged to get himself transferred to another assignment, in another country!
Why would anything be differant today?

A dealer in Phenox or Tuson has been charged with "straw" sales and knowing the guns were going to Mexico. I think they have a pretty good case against him. While many of the guns are full auto, used by drug gangs (not coming from the US) I am sure they use allot of semi-autos also, and these can be coming from the US. They are increasing full searches on cars going into Mex. so there must be a reason, other then anti-gun BS.

The serious players in Mexico buy their weapons from dealers all over the world.Having your people at ports and international air terminals means unfettered access to shipments from anywhere in the world. They also steal
US supplied weapons from their govt.
This is not to say that some ratty semi AKs are not smuggled from the USAicon and you will see a few of these in the dog and pony videos put out by the Mexican govt. The sad part is our govt. is going along with this charade and using the propaganda from both sides of the border to attack legal gun rights in this country.
After 500 years of victim hood the Mexicans have figured out how to make any bad situation the fault of others.

I have no doubt that some dealers and individuals are involved in providing weapons to the Mexican cartels, and I fully support the prosecution of those people. But the anti-gun gang's promotion of draconian laws for U.S. citizens is simply another example of their use of whatever serves their cause. Sometimes they over-reach; they made a laughing stock of themselves, even among liberals, when they claimed that Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan were getting their AK-47's at American gun shows!

I saw real (not faked) pics of some of the guns actually sent south. They included some shotguns, and .22 rifles, along with semi-auto AKs and AR-15 clones. No hand grenades, no belt-fed machineguns.

Not only are those being sent in by other Latin American countries unfriendly to us, but Mexican army recruits soon learn that they can sell their issue weapons for enough to live high for a while. Sell the gun and desert. Simple case of supply and demand. Countries like Nicaragua and Venezuela see arming the Mexican gangs as part of a plan to destabilize Mexico and eventually expand the "people's revolution" to Hispanics in the U.S., with little or no resistance from the pro-Marxist Obama administration.

    gun sales from border states

I have no doubt that some munitions and firearms are going into mexico from the border states. The dealer mentioned by one poster is not far from my house altho I have not ever been in the store. The border is a very porus place.
Having said that, a lot of these guns are stolen from the mexican military, or brought into mexico from further south.
I take it with a certain amusement, not really, that mexicans will allow uncontrolled emigration to the U.S., repatriation of money, drug related or otherwise to mexico, and can't figure out how to seal the border on THEIR side, thus ending the problem of firearms importation. Course, I also read the report done in december at a joint conference between mexico and the U.S. where the U.S. idiot was talking about full auto weapons being sold out of gun stores in arizona. We have been trying to figure out WHICH store, which is idiotic to even think about it.
A couple of years ago, some federales were busted by the way at a crossroads gun show here in phx trying to buy weapons.

Comment from the N. H. Union Leader:
Mexico blaming the U.S. for its violence problem is like a 300 lb man blaming his neighbors' eating habits for his obesity.

I sent a long email to Geraldos web statng I had PERSONAL(I was there)proof that heavy weapons came from China and were delivered to a now defunct Mexican agency named the "DFS" but it was Pxxxxxg in the wind. (no reply. In the late 70's and early 80's I worked with this group while hunting down bail skips (not as Dog did!)These federales were later found to be involved in the kidnapping and murder of "Kiki" Camerana (personal friend)the DEA agent stationed in our embassy in Guadalajara. I personally saw an anti tank bazooka type loaded into the trunk of one of the agents vehicles I worked with. We were on our way to a location where drug dealers were located and reportedly heavily armed. When I asked where the weapon and others came from--they said Chino! At the time I worked with these people I knew many were dirty I just did not know how much!!! After their proven complicity in "Kiki's death and subsequent heat by our government, they were disbanded by the Mexican government. When I was in "Kiki's territory he held my hand and steered me towards people he felt were trustworthy--We were both terribly wrong in some choices!--Sorry for this being so long and to many--self serving, but as said I gave them an offer to reasonably prove my case to them and they flat out ignored me. I thought Geraldo researched his facts and was fairly straight but he like as we know many other of these Schumers and local Mayors were blowing smoke rings up ----
These people are not going to tell the truth no matter what! Please forgive my long rant.
    Bob
