    Trigger guard locking lugs

Looking for opinions on two sets of locking lugs on M1icon trigger guard.
Rifle "A" has a stamped trigger guard and rifle "B" has a milled trigger guard.
Both trigger assemblies lock up tight in either rifle but I am not sure about the condition of the locking lugs. Any opinions would be appreciated.

"B" has more wear...so if that matters, use "A".

That's to be expected since it is a WWII milled trigger guard ... but is it worn so badly that it shouldn't be used?

No, it can be used...and you said they were both tight so either could be used. You asked which would I use and why...I'm sure worse were used right through the Pacific campaign. Use the TG that matches the rifle if it doesn't matter...

    Thanks Jim.
I am actually going to replace the milled trigger guard on my 1955 HRA M1icon with a new HRA TG from CMPicon. I want to put the milled trigger guard on my 1944 Winchester M1 but I wasn't sure of the lug condition. M1s are not my "cup of tea" so I wanted to ask opinions first.

As stated as long as they lock up wear is not an issue. If you have a problem later the fix involves peening the lugs to give more bite.
