    Uploaded pictures

Years ago I joined another military forum and used to post pictures until they essentially said that all my pictures now belong to them and I can't delete them.

I have been here since 2009 and never thought to ask this question. When I upload pictures to this forum can I delete them at a future time? For example : I used to own a piece of equipment and posted pictures but now I no longer own it and wish to remove them from the forum.

I think also you can only have x amount of pics in your profile and they delete after a while Badger will let us know the score anyway.

    For clarity ..

We are primarily a research. All images whether uploaded directly, or linked to indirectly from other Internet web sites by members, are hosted and stored on the Milsurps.Com internal server. You would have read in the Forum Rules & Site User Agreement (click here), that you agreed to when you joined the site:

By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) with us you agree to grant us, free of charge, an unrestricted license in perpetuity with permission to use the material in any way within this site and with due acknowledgment (including modifying or deleting it). In order that we can use your contribution, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any copyright laws and that you have the right to give us permission to use it for the purposes specified above.
Also, please read the global thread that appears in all forums...

Why are my images from Photobucket, ImageShack etc. copied to milsurps.com? (click here)

    Hope that helps ..

    Regards,
    Doug

Due to the gracious donations over the last few years from members such as yourself, late last year we were able to upgrade our site's 10 year old host computer to one that’s over three times as powerful and increasing our 2 Gigabyte hard disk storage to 2,000 Gigabytes.

The result is that we were able to remove the individual pic upload and storage restrictions.

    Milsurps Site Changes (November 2016)

    Doug

Ah yes, the old "guilt complex" move .... artfully done, sir. May I never be lacking in my voluntary contributions again.
