At first I was sorry I missed out but now not very sorry. I missed seeing in the original post that it is corrosive. As I no longer like to take my M1icon into the shower with me I would have passed. lol

Thanks for the heads-up while it lasted! We can all make up our own minds about our willingness to use the corrosive stuff but it is nice to have the option.

Agreed. I did not intend to imply I was not appreciative of the "heads up".

How exactly does one clean up corrosive on a Garandicon? I'm thinking mainly the bits of powder residue that get around and under the front hand guard being a real pain.

I've been told that since it is just a salt, all that is needed is soap and water. One fellow I spoke to said he took a bottle of soapy water with him to the range and ran it down the from the breech until he could get home and field strip the rifle.

Not really a good deal since they recently sold non corrosive HXP SPAM cans for the same price. I passed since I don't have a bolt gun
