    The best antique store find?

I've got an interesting story to tell...

One day me and my grandma were walking through a local antique store just checking to see if they had any cool stuff. I found a hollow bamboo chute with a makeshift bamboo cap on one end. Scribbled on the side were two adresses. From PFC. Grady Stewart sent from an APO adress. To D.L. Stewart of my hometown.

I recognized the name for some reason and told my grandma to take I look at what I found. Turns out Grady Stewart was her uncle and WWII veteran, and DL Stewart was another close relative (can't remember the exact relation). Totally amazed at our antique store find we opened up the makeshift bamboo parcel to find a handmade Bolo knife and handmade wooden sheath. Needless to say we left with the piece of family history, wondering how it ended up in an antique store.

I'll post some pics if anybody is interested to see it, but I just thought I'd share this story right quick.

Here you go, hopefully they show up. Been awhile since I've posted pics to any forum.

I've thought about cleaning the rust off but I'm not quite sure if I should or not. Don't really want to risk damaging the knife.
