Another No. 4 MK. I* (T) reunited with its factory original scope

Another No. 4 MK. I* (T) has now been reunited with its factory original scope. Milsurps member "Valleysniper" in Wales, UK, who owns Long Branch No. 4. MK. I* (T) SN 90L8323 has now purchased R.E.L. C No. 32 MK. 3 SN 249-C from me. I had purchased the scope in 2014 from a friend in Scotland years ago, so it has travelled from Canadaicon to Scotland, back to Canada and now to Wales. As well it would have travelled in service with the Britishicon Army. On Milsurps, under rifle 90L8323 it says "Peter Laidlericon/Roger Payneicon..............Observed in British service. Surplussed w/o scope in 1997". It matches the scope number stamped on the wrist of his rifle and it is the correct model scope. R.E.L. duplicated many scope serial numbers so it is important to ensure where a rifle should have an early or late model scope. I tracked down this rifle thanks to a Milsurps posting, and as the owner was not willing to part with the rifle, I ended up letting the scope go to him after I had bought a matching 90L8198 with matching scope 22-C set for myself.

Colin, Have seen the matching scope for my rifle so its a step closer, I just need to send mine off to a Bloke who has done a few in his time for a clean bill of health and bring it up to the standard as the matching one.

Well done Colin, good work. I hope now to help Valley Sniper with the provision of one or two parts to restore 249C. He purchased the rifle from me a few years ago; I let it go as I have one other 90L rifle that is fortunately matched to its original scope.

I had promised him to get the slightly butchered Canadianicon bracket from the Indian rifle of mine, so the parts seem to assemble....
