Would be simplicity itself to make the handle you need from a UKicon Mk2. Internally it will be identical as will the inner parts/spring too - and I suspect that the threads will match too. Plus the end plate..... But CERTAINLY less hassle than making another from new.

Anyone got a complete Mk2 assembly for Luis - or shall I look through what bits I have?

    Hi Peter!
Carry Handle without mising parts. Some blows on tube.Only the wooden easy to turning.

To me now the most important part to found is the butt plate.

I'd make a mandrel to get that back to shape, wouldn't be bad I should think.

That's how most of ours looked when they were stripped. After you have dollied it out and straightened the rod part, make sure that the internal parts are smothered in grease

If you want the proper dimensions of the carry handle PM me.
Also, a photo of the buttplate and strap assembly you are looking for compared to an unmodified Mk. 1 Bren
One could probably forge the correct one from a Bren

Sorry, i dont understand... what is a mandrel??
I fear that if I try to straighten out the piece, it will end up ruining ..

    Peter
Thanks for your advice! With that small curve the handle mechanism works perfectly.

    Waren
    Your help are welcom!
I will be very grateful if you give me the measures to reproduce the carry handle. I sen now a PM!

I was thinking that if a ZB butt stock does not appear for sale, I could reproduce it using a Bren reproduction that they sell at IMA-USA.

AFAIK the ZB butt plate Warren has shown is unique to Yugoslaviaicon so not applicable to your ZB.
What country contract is your ZB for or can you show a clear picture of the crest please ?

I blew up the photo and it appears to say "Bolivia" above the crest.

A mandrel is a solid bar that would go inside the object so you can tap the dents out as you force it in. Just smaller that the inside diameter and a tight fit, it will support your hammer as you tap things back to correct...
