Same with my PH will not single feed only feeds from the mag the frustrating thing is the left side cartridges when stripped from the mag do not go behind the claw so gets pushed into the chamber and bingo stuck round as you cannot close the bolt. I just help it feed so have a 2 shot capped 22/250. There is a chap in Englandicon whom can fix it but I am in Australiaicon but I like the PH they are a strong action for the size cartridge I am shooting.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Adjusting magazine rails is something that I wouldn't attempt yet on anything but a clunker for experimentation but maybe the follower is to wide causing the round on the left to drag and then get hung up or bind before getting in position of the claw and then the bolts to far forward to work smooth?

I have a NOS PH floor plate Doco I may give that a whirl it has a new extractor in it but the claw is not beveled yet, I will leave that to my new gunsmith, I do have the old one may swap them both out next week at a range day to see what transpires Thanks.
