I haven't really been keeping up with this thread but....... All auctioneers or other third party sellers (so if you're selling something for someone else on e bay beware.....) are bound by the civil law version of the common law acceptance of 'due diligence'. It is how one proves 'LACK of due diligence' that causes the problem if you venture to take your case to the civil court.

Of edges...... water jet cut edges look like they're done by the finest apprentices during their trade tests. Too good to be true!
