    1200TX Base/Rail

    Hi,

Since these were built with a Mauser 98 receiver, would a 1200TX that was factory drilled and tapped for standard PH bases be able to accommodate a rail such as this without modification being necessary?

I have a nice S&B military sight with a 26mm tube which I would like to fit the rifle with, but the RALS or RAHS 4 mounts are quite expensive these days, and I could instead outfit it with a base and modern 26mm mounts, like these Recknagel mounts.

    Thanks.

Hard to say, I've seen to many variations with some of PH's actions.

I suggest taking a dial caliper and measure your hole spacing and then contact the seller if they can measure the base or ask about there return policy.

I put a rail on a 1200 but the rear hole needed slight elongation. Swapped it back fro bases as they looked better !
