    # SB-839 AN ACT CONCERNING MERGERS AND CONSOLIDATIONS OF VARIOUS STATE AGENCIES. — Proposed by the Governor’s office to first place the BOARD OF FIREARMS PERMIT EXAMINERS into the Department of Public Safety, and remove 100% of its funding. *** See Section 30 of the bill. Governor's original plan is to eliminate the board in 2012.

    *** NOTICE *** Public Hearing, Monday 16 March 9:30am, LOB Room 2B

IMPORTANT if for some reason a person is denied a permit, the risk is there will be NO board to appeal. You would probably have to sue in court.

This would put a stop to any CMPicon shooting program in the state for the youth there. Looks like a back door policy to me that will eventually say only single shot rifles are legal. The anti gunners just keep chiping away, a little here, a little there.
