A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Boy!.. here in New Jersey they would lock that gun happy nut up for discharging a firearm within town limits. After all, how did he know they were not making a movie? You can't go around shooting up union film crews and actors. Lawyers by the dozen will be trying to get to represent the sole survivor for civil action against the 'sniper'...... Interfering with their right to pursue happiness, and assault with a deadly weapon. ( Boy! I wish that were a joke!)

Same here charges would read ~ discharging a weapon in a built up area, endangering the publics safety & manslaughter simple as that. Whether the magistrate would be lenient is another matter but he would definitely lose his guns and never hold a firearms license again.

Here in the U.K. even when the Police discharge a firearm at a criminal they have to report themselves to the Independent Police Complaints Commission to investigate.

Well at least we got a consensus of what the state laws in the respective areas are and what would happen to the chap who pulled the trigger!
