Ultimate accessory for my MP marked Long Branch No4

I remember seeing one of these at a local Military Museum about 25 years ago and have been on the hunt for one ever since. Well a friend stumbled on one recently and let me have it for a reasonable price (thanks Doug!)

For now installed to highlight the marking.
And a few pics of the rest of the rifle:

And yes the serial number has been confirmed in Clanchers book and on the Lever Arms invoice.
    Just thought I'd share.

I always wondered how widespread those slings were. I got one with a batch of slings, wood, chests, and hardware from Cno7 rifles that had been torn down, I presume from the Regina depot.

I suppose it is one of those things that could be easily faked, but I'm pretty sure mine is righteous.

If its not going into battle and you do not shoot it to often then let it be to highlight the stenciled markings that way your not having to twist the sling to let people view the said item, that's my obscure take my 303 slings are on correctly they can view the WRIGHTS 1916 date stamp on my sling that's sits on a 1916 Lithgowicon easily enough now that sling did cost me a pretty penny as it is in excellent condition.

True Bindi I was thinking more along the lines of turning the sling if the rifle was going to have consistent use....

LOL I knew I was going to catch flack for how I mounted the sling (which is why I added my comment in the original post) but I guess I should have picked a better way of doing it as I feel it has now taken away from the significance of the marking. My main objective in posting the picture was to document an accessory for MP marked Long Branch No4's I've not seen before online.
I agree this is a marking that could easily be faked. As to this one I know the original source and the person from whom I purchased it. It was in the original owners collection since the mid 70's and the person I purchased it from isn't knowledgeable enough about Enfields to be able to fake it (plus he's an honest and trusted friend). This sling was mounted on a rifle and its significants wasn't known until I pointed it out.

It has not. We appreciate the fact that you placed it so we could clearly see the marking. I've seen hundreds of those slings at one time when they were still issued for FN and never saw one so marked. I have however seen an FN so marked...and was likely the only man that understood what it meant.
    Regards, Jim

No way T ! no flak from this quarter I was thinking if it was in a rack people could (viewers) see the stencil without having to touch the rifle as they always like to put their paws on the blued sections and not the wood which means a wipe down afterwards.....
