    Which to keep?

I am selling two of my three remaining M1s and can't decide which is the most desirable. The first is a '43 SA with original barrel. The second is a 1.9 million serial number SA with a SA6-46 barrel and is also a good shooter. The third is a refurbished 3.3 million serial number with a VAR barrel. Also a good shooter and looks beautiful but doesn't have the soul of the other two.

keep the one that shoots the best

or keep the one that is original and collectable it will have the most value down the road

all depends if you shooter or collector

I guess another question is a matched (original) barrel/receiver combo that much more desirable than a replacement barrel and if so, how much more?

The barrel receiver will only ever be a restoration vs. the rebuild if it is unchanged from rebuild is probably more desirable assuming both are equally accurate
