Lightweight MG34 Ammo Tin for airborne use

I thought that Forum members may like to see this aluminium MG34 ammo tin which I picked up a couple of years ago at a militaria fair and the markings appear to show that it's an early war example of 1939.

Israeli Defence Force MG34/42 ammo tin???

I have this ammo tin which I assume to be for the MG34/42 but it is different to all others that I've seen. The suggestion that I had from the vendor is that it's Israeli Defence Force which seems a perfectly plausible and good suggestion. I have no idea if this is correct; I purchased it because it is different. Is anyone able to confirm if it's Israeli, please? Thanks.

Another slight variation, MG34/42 ammo tin.

I also have this variation which is much closer to the "standard" WW2 Germanicon examples that are seen. I suspect that it may not be of German origin but it may have been used by them following capture and then perhaps it became Sovieticon capture at the end of the war, given the shade of green paint. The only markings that I can see, I have photographed and I don't recognise them as being German but I also don't know who else may have used such markings. I did wonder if the tin was originally Polish or Czechicon but this is little more than guesswork by me. Thanks for any information.

    Cool

Me thinks it is Norwegianicon. They continued to use the MG 34 for many years after the war.

    Thumbs up

Yes, Norwegianicon mfg. The first one is a repaint by them. Nr 2 is Isreali, who also used the MG 34 & 42 in the post war years. I seen wartime guns with Isreali markings on them and at one time owned an MG 34.
