    From the collection

    Have a 1944 20mm prac round has on the projectile fuse ~ Mk 26 - 1 - RM with a G or C hard to make out on the projectile body ~ Mk 4 - 26 D - 9 - 42

    The base is as per pic but that diamond with a B in it ! I have trolled for ages through various sites and 20mm ones as well for this stamp but have drawn a blank any help in identifying it would be appreciated by myself. TIA

    Yes, we've been looking for ages for that one, I've trolled myself. Here's a pair of 20mm I have. The chrome one is a drill Orlikon picked up off the factory line by a Canadianicon and packed home after wars end. His son gave it to me. The brass is one fired by our own CF5A's, (F5A freedom fighters US) which we were incorrectly taught were called CF105s. Anyway, this one has no headstamp and was electrically fired I think...I picked it and the projectile up the day after the gun run.

    Very nice rounds Jim yes I searched for ages using every bit of description one could use for searching head stamps for any type of ordnance including & inclusive of those for just 20mm anyway keeps the wheels turning

    Another 20mm Prac.......

    Bit easier this one projie has ~ FSP (What does this represent) Lot 9829 - 15 9 - 42 appears to be a steel case with a wooden rod inside the base is self explanatory.
    Was NECO based in the USAicon or was this Canadianicon manufacture just asking if anyone knows where this was produced for my records. TIA

    And a few pages later from the RB one I got this one so that's 2 down...........

    Solved it at last what the headstamp is persistence pays off the stamp is an RB ~ 20 x 110mm RB Oerlikon casing made by Bridgeport Brass Co.
    Thank god for that now to find the next cartridge thats given me grief.......................
