    Re-crown or couter-bore?

    Morning gents,

    Just wondering;
    Was re-crowning or counter-boring ever done on Britishicon L-E's rifles to regain accuracy?
    Some, like the Soviiet and Finnishicon M-Nagants were very often so treated, (apparently successfully) most of the time.
    Was such a procedure ever used or part of the Armourers instructions?
    Peter??

    Nope, certainly not in my time. BUT, I stand to be corrected if it was officially sanctioned for the No1 rifles in some official documentation. When some of the XL42's were first sent out for trials, some of those were not crowned or correctly crowned (- Colin ?) so these and others that were not to a codified standard were returned to RSAF to be corrected and sent out again so that all were to a set standard/codified. That's why you'll............ Anyway.
