I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Keystone replacement stock too. But as you say Jim, very pretty rifle, I would certainly give her gun safe room.

$675 USD is nothing for a Springfield of any decent description around here...and a shooter? Even more so.

The bore is shootable. Not spectacular but still decent. I mean, it's no K31icon but it's not a mosin either

It might clean up more after a bit of ball too...but a crappy bore might stand me down on buying it too... I DO prefer a shiny bore.

Also shouldn't the Upper Band be stamped instead of Milled on an A3 and A4?

I have a Remington built rifle with serial number 3426973 on the right side of the receiver ring, while the "03-A3'" marking is on the left. It is equipped with an M82 sight, the military version of the Lyman "Alaskan." The C type stock is stamped "ANAD" indicating that at some point, it was through Anniston Army Depot in Alabama. This is the configuration it was when obtained from DCM in 1973.

rifle is an A3 and not an A4.
however, price is good , you can use it with a different scope in the vintage sniper matches.
