NM AR-15 77 SMK OAL Mag length

I am workink on my Mag. length 77gr SMK loads for NM AR . With useing bullet comparator I am at 1.892" that's minus 1" for comparator. With RCBS precision .223 mic they are at postive 0.7 from 0.0 DUH did I say that correct. This is about 2.282 from tip of bullet to case head which is not as accurate useing comp. on ogive. So I am wondering if I am in the ball park with the G.I. Mags I am useing and setting up with. Thanks

Mag length means they'll fit your magazine. The longest my 77 sierras can be and fit my mags is 2.260. Some use 2.250 others 2.255. All you had to do was take that 2.282 cartridge and see if it would fit in your mag. I'm guessing it wouldn't but never say never :-).
