    surplusrifleforum.com????

Does anyone know what is going on at surplusrifleforum.com? Been down for days now. I know that some members here are members there so, I thought that I would ask.
    Thanks.

    Hi Al ..

I haven't been there in a very long time, after the moderators objected to our members posting links to articles in the Knowledge Libraryicon.

However, your post prompted me to check and it appears that you're right. Currently it seems to be down for me as well.

So, I checked a site called Down for everyone of just me? (click here) and it says their site is UP.

Clicking the link I received in the above message, I was led to this web page.

    Hope that helps..

Thank you for your response and assistance.
I figured it was probably temporary but, it has been a few days now.

There are facebook groups too. I just joined three. Filled with lots of bubbas and people that really don't have a clue. The Mosin Nagant is the worst. Guy has a flourescent green rifle he's turning into a Zombie rifle. The Swissicon Rifles group is pretty good but they don't post much. The Arisakaicon group isn't too bad either.

I've been members of the facebook groups for 10 days now and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. My first impressions were a bit off. The Nagant forum remains filled with bubbas but it has a lot of serious collectors on there also posting their stuff. The Arisakaicon forum is really good. Curio and Relics is pretty good. There is a Manlicher forum also but they also don't post often similar to the Swissicon forum. I'm kind of surprised Facebook allows them but worth a shot if you like looking at lots of stuff. My facebook feed is a lot more interesting now anyway.

Personally, I don't feel comfortable posting photos of my things on such a public forum but a lot of guys do.

    Question

I have religusly(?) avoided facebuk and similar sites because they are all rabidly anti-gun!
I am surprised that they allow anything gun related because in the past they have been known to prohibit/delet any such.

It appears like it's still down and according to this May 11th Facebook post, it may be a longer term challenge...
