    armourer, author and film star??

I was watching a documentary last night when they cut to a modern(ish) section of a Vickers gun in action. much to my surprise, there was a familiar looking face.

The General never mentioned it, "but in the absence of water, one could fill up by asking the chaps to empty one's bladder what"

That's the rate of fire they should be. Accurately set fuzee spring and barrel packing while soaking up any old ammo. Worth noting the perfect tripod. No end float or backlash anywhere. Little if any muzzle movement of the gun during firing. Good day on the top field firing range........

Thanks for putting it up Henry

Weren't we just chatting about this very thing Peter? The gun I have in mind, if you struck the handle...would have done more than half a degree. It would likely have moved half a football field. It was a tad loose. Nice sunny afternoon casually consuming some .303...
    Regards, Jim

You see gents, it isn't every time a Milsurps member makes it to T.V that it's a mugshot.

Were that my tripod was that solid! It would not do to use it for overhead fire.
