    That is interesting, the only weapon I have ruined was when we were ordered to expend all leftover blank ammo from an exercise in the US, Fort Pickett in 2001.

    My C7A1 took 55-60 magazines of blank ammo, full mag dumps until the gas tube melted closed due to drooping onto the barrel.

    Blank ammo is very hard on equipment especially when fired in volume. We shot 20 C7, 6 C9, and 4 C6 to destruction that day.

    It would have been neat to see a barrel section post shoot.
